Sadie is a mixed media artist working in watercolor, acrylic, pencil, and ink. She lives in Brownsville, Texas, ten miles from where rockets launch. She is eight years old.
She is Mexican-American, bilingual, and works on a kitchen table that becomes a studio in the afternoons. She paints axolotls, planets, sunlight, birds, and the things she sees from Brownsville. Her spirit mentor is Frida Kahlo.
Her work is shipped monthly to patrons who want to be present for an artist's first body of work. She also plans to become a heart surgeon, by her own intention, and she expects to keep painting through it.

Sadie's Día de los Muertos Sobre features a purple cat with rainbow wings, keeping company with a parrot and a little chick under a line of papel picado, with a cempasúchil marigold at their feet.
The cat arrives three ways: as a painted print to frame, as a postcard of Sadie's drawing for you to color in your own way, and on an ofrenda sticker sheet with a candle, marigolds, a butterfly and papel picado.

The first 50 patrons to subscribe to Sobres receive a one-time hand-signed thank-you card from Sadie with their first envelope. After 50, the founders door closes for the year.
Querida, Sadie's monthly subscription covers production and a fair salary for Sadie. Patrons sometimes ask if they can contribute beyond their subscription to support Sadie's long-term goals.
Her 529 education savings account is open. Contributions go directly to the account and become part of her eventual college, art school, or medical school fund.
